HORTENSE WANTED TO BE A HORTICULTURIST

Ever since she was little and she first heard the word. She didn't actually know what it meant at the time, of course, but it sounded very grand and very exciting. And maybe it was because she was named Hortense that she was predisposed to her love of gardens and all things of the sort.  Whatever the reason, she'd always wanted to be a horticulturist and never once regretted her decision.
