The mix of colours among the wildflowers at the end of summer was among her favourites. The brights of the newer blooms mixed with the dull of the faded ones created a contrast she couldn't get enough of. It seemed a shamed to have to wait a whole year to experience such a combination, but she comforted herself with the knowledge that it was well worth it.
